Photo Album: Ridge and shingles reveal damage in Yardley, PA

During a routine roof inspection by Grand View Roofing & Exteriors, the homeowner was made aware of issues that were causing water issues to the interior of the home. Sections of the ridge were pierced and cracked. Some were even missing covering at key points of the roof.    When a piece of shingle is absent, your main line of defense is now compromised and no longer protecting your home from regulation and not offering the best protection necessary while allowing water to seep into sections of the interior. Additionally, while on the roof, we could see over 25% of the asphalt was worn down to the point of replacement. When shingles get to this point, they become weakened, lose their firmness, and will separate a lot easier during severe weather.    My team went through the repair and replacement options. With a roof in this kind of shape, Susan most likely will be staring at more issues in the future if not fully replaced. We could always do a quick fix but in this case, a replacement was recommended due to the extent of the damages.
