Photo Album: Roof Replacement in National Park, NJ

Kim, a homeowner in National Park, NJ, called Grand View Roofing & Exteriors to look at a failing roof. Upon inspection, we found old roofing shingles under the damaged top layer of asphalt. Knowing this is a substandard practice and violates roofing regulations, we were ready to ensure this property owner was informed and given the best recommendations available. Unfortunately, this practice is a regular occurrence in the NJ area.   We noticed a bunch of damaged shingles and issues with the seal around the vent shaft. A previous contractor tried to seal the lifted shingles but was unsuccessful. We explained that the best option would be a complete roof overhaul and not more repair work. The customer understood that only patching the roof's defaced areas, would only need additional repairs down the road.     Kim agreed with our assessment and wanted our team to start as soon as possible. In the photos, we show the before damages and the beginning process of the shingle removal.
